Sunset over Crescent Moon

Sunset on the Teton Range - Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

We were in Grand Teton to photograph fall color and the annual elk rut. We were on our way to dinner after having photographed some elk harem gathering further south in the park. Someone noticed the moon and the sunset and yelled to stop so we found the closest parking lot and jumped out of the vans(2). Sixteen photographers in all trying to capture the beauty before it quickly faded. I cropped a frame from my 5D for this as there wasn't enough time or light left for me to set up for a panoramic composite.

I am trying to play catch up on viewing your blogs. I have probably another night before I will be caught up. I still have a lot of work and tight timelines to meet for my job, so it might take me a while to respond to your comments or totally catch up with my watches. Please keep the comments coming though, I cherish every one. I will catch up on your blog posts as quickly as I can. Have fun shooting while I work :-).
